The project is coming on really well. There are lots of photographs coming through.
I've finished a sequence of nine poems for the Alt Collection and am working on a piece about the petrified forest - thinking about the world before people. Hard to imagine really.
Planning to look at maps of the river and do a walk along the Alt, towards Crosby. Meeting up with the curator at the museum before we hit November and the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Went to Crosby Beach on bank holiday Monday. People were flying kites on the hill and it was really sunny.
Took some video footage of the river and the Iron Men. Ended up covered in inky mud, right up both legs and the back of my clothes.
My camera work is terrible - full of wobbly shots and zooms that are too fast but the water looks great.

Brilliant news. The project has been given space to exhibit a first run of work in January. Great for anyone who has been writing, painting and digging out pictures of the river.

Last weekend I went with my good friend Linda to take pictures of the Alt in Woolfall Heath and later at the Ratty in Whiston Lane.
Have a look at the slide show. There are some good shots of the water, nostril shaped tunnels and the bridge over the Alt.
Keep an eye open for the grills across the mouths of the tunnels - creepy.
